About Me

      001_upload_me_slowly
UPLOAD ME SLOWLY is a motion design project that explores how poetry can be experienced in the digital space.

In a world shaped by constant scrolling and swiping, texts are often skimmed instead of truly read.
Poetry becomes shorter, faster, and easier to overlook.

By combining text with motion typography, the project uses animation to actively guide the reader and hold attention in an environment where focus is constantly breaking.

Typography and Graphic Design with Multiple Script Systems

People often see Cyrillic and immediately think of Russian. In fact, Cyrillic is a Slavic script with roots in Old Church Slavonic, and it is still used in many countries beyond Russia.

Bicultural typography is about combining two writing systems, for example Latin and Cyrillic, to create a consistent design. In the course, a full compendium was created exploring a wide range of different scripts.

What do designers do in restaurants?
Criticize menu layouts. Exactly.

This comic follows the everyday life of Stefan.
It deals with creative block, low pay, fear of
failure and the constant feeling of not being good enough, struggles many creatives can relate to.

The Concept Dinner is a carefully planned event where every detail is designed to fit together. It’s a celebration for my friends with a custom design that plays with space, mood, and atmosphere.

Using some of the first AI Image generation tools, such as Midjourney and Adobe Firefly, I created a fictional poster series alongside my internship in 2024.

Inspired by the holiday season, I took the posters with me and placed them in situations where people are most likely to forget to apply sunscreen.

006_paper_under_the_microscope

A semester project exploring paper in extreme detail.

We became curious about the different forms of paper we encounter in everyday life and what happens when they break down into their individual components. I created a photographic collection documenting this process.

The results were surprisingly diverse, with the original structures of the paper remaining remarkably visible throughout the decomposition process.

People live in cities where they can get creative with the combination of letters on their license plates like turning an ordinary car into a unique eye catcher.

Germany allows surprisingly creative combinations, such as “S-EX” in Stuttgart or “BO-NG” in Bochum.

Since 2019, I’ve had a much sharper eye for license plates on the streets. Friends and family have joined in, sending me their best discoveries and helping turn this into a growing funny collection.

A third semester project about giving an existing event a new visual identity.

I chose the traditional Bern selfbuild soapbox race for kids.
A charming local event with a lot of character. My task was to rethink its outdated 2006 Word flyer and bring the event’s inconsistent visual communication into a more coherent Swiss inspired design system.

At the event itself, I explored what makes the Bern race days special: the handmade projects, the playful atmosphere and the simple joy of building and racing together.

The new identity was designed to keep that charm while making the event feel more contemporary, playful and inviting especially for the kids.
